Where Are Sir Bono And St. Bob?
Mutterings And Murmurs . Poly Tics . Social Studies‘We Are The World’ was a benefit single for victims of geopolitical famine and war in Africa. It raised over $60 Million, which was marginally distributed to Ethiopia, Sudan, and other impoverished countries that were never able to recover from European colonialism or subversive CCP intervention. Celebrity ‘artists’, members of ‘God’s great big family’ got together and sang this song in what was one of the first viral, virtue signalling, hand wringing, chest beating spectacles that would unite the world to feel good about what was being hidden in the background, behind the music and make-up.
We Are the World Lyrics
Sing or hum along if you know the words.
Buy the world a COKE.
Verse 1
There comes a time when we heed a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
Oh, when it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all
Verse 2
We can’t go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of God’s great big family
And the truth, you know
Love is all we need
Chorus
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true, we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
Verse 3
Well, send them your heart so they’ll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand
Chorus
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let’s start giving
Oh, there’s a choice we’re making
We’re saving our own lives
It’s true, we’ll make a better day
Just you and me
Bono is a one named celebrity formerly known as Paul Hewson is an activist for social justice causes, both through a once relevant band called U2 and as an individual. He is particularly active in campaigning for Africa, for which he co-founded DATA, EDUN, the ONE Campaign, and Product Red. In pursuit of these causes, he has participated in benefit concerts and lobbied politicians and heads of state for relief and mutual admiration. Bono has been honoured for his philanthropic efforts. Where all the money went is anyone’s guess. He went from fronting a brilliant band that morphed into a corporate empire concerned with virtue signalling rather than musical relevance. His latest appearance was in ‘impromptu’ performance in a totally safe and secure subway to bleat his support for the Neo Nazi Ukraine bombing and shelling of the Crimea that has been killing Russians and Ukrainians alike since 2014. He is a saint. He is anointed royalty. Is he rich because others are poor?
Live Aid
The Live Aid festival took place on July 13, 1985, and this is the most grandiose event in the history of music! Never before, neither before nor after, has there been such a large-scale and great show. The idea of the event was born in the mind of Bob Geldof, the leader of the Irish punk rock band The Boomtown Rats. ‘I Don’t Like Mondays’ was a great song. They were a good but not great band made somewhat more relevant through media social consciousness and justice.
In total, the Live Aid festival managed to raise 150 million pounds. Most of the money came from crisis-ridden Ireland. And the largest single donation was transferred by the ruling family of Dubai.
It’s all but proven that a substantial part of the funds raised went to support the Ethiopian civil war and the rebels, since it was spent on weapons for the Ethiopian warlords. The Daily Mail found out that at least 20% of the donors’ money went to the rebels. Ethiopian commander Gebremedin Araya announced a most shocking figure as up to 63 million pounds of the charity were spent on political and military support for the rebels. The famines continues.
Saint Bob was born.
The Boomtown Rats were an Irish rock band originally formed in Dublin in 1975. Between 1977 and 1985, they had a series of Irish and UK hits including “Like Clockwork“, “Rat Trap“, “I Don’t Like Mondays” and “Banana Republic“.
In a fair and just Democracy, tax avoidance should be a bad or immoral thing, it’s interesting to know that Bob Geldof denied that fundraisers such as ‘Band Aid 30’ of ‘Live Aid’ would perhaps be unnecessary if more of the wealthy individuals involved paid their taxes properly. Geldof is a prominent charity campaigner and, one would be forgiven for thinking, not a free market zealot. Why then was he so hostile towards such a valid concern? That some of the musicians involved in his fundraisers have accountants and lawyers to facilitate tax avoidance would be a difficult point to argue. For one thing, he is himself is registered non-domicile, meaning he is free to avoid income and capital gains tax on international earnings. Then there’s Bono, who despite being worth $600 million, fronts a band that is registered in Netherlands for tax reasons.
Sir Elton John sued a newspaper in 2012 for defamation over a series of articles linking him with a controversial tax avoidance scheme. He demanded self enriching damages. Sir Elton says the stories suggest that he was suspected of taking part in immoral tax avoidance schemes, which he says caused severe damage to his reputation and serious personal distress and embarrassment. There was no mention of his embarrassing Liberace-like persona but Reginald Kenneth Dwight feared that the stories could discourage people from attending some of his pet charity, self enrichment events. He claimed further that the stories had a particular tendency to damage his charity work, calling into question his commitment to humanity and the basis of his knighthood.

Good-by Norma Jean…and music just for the art and enjoyment of it.
Who will organize the benefit concert for the victims of the COVID genocide?
