The following is an ‘enhanced’ and ‘saltier’ version of an open letter sent to The City of Airdrie mayor and council. It was also directed to Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, Health Minister Adrianna LaGrange, Municipal Affairs Minister Ric McIvor and a couple of ineffectual, self serving members of the Alberta legislature…you know, uncompromised public servants that should be responsible for our ethical health and safety.
Re. Involuntary Mass Medication Without Informed Consent
Dear Mayor Peter Brown (His/Your Worship) and All Captured Bureaucrats With Global Ambitions,
I am writing to you, for perhaps the last time, knowing that this letter can be deleted regardless of length and content and without consideration. I have read your official response to concerns about the involuntary mass medication of Airdrie’s water supply. The official talking points you present do not recognise the legitimate concerns raised by citizens that are actually concerned about what they take into their bodies, especially when it involves something as essential as water. You seem to not recognise that your willingness to allow toxins into our water supply violates any thinking persons very natural instinct for, and right to, self preservation. The latest program from the City of Airdrie calls for input from the public to “Help Shape The Future of Social Services In Airdrie”. Even though this is yet another program that falls outside of what is to be a municipal government’s purview, one beyond infrastructure and safety, this expressed ‘concern’ for public health is contradicted by allowing another program that presents a proven risk to public health.
Surely you can see the irony of how much deference the City of Airdrie council collectively pays to ‘Truth and Reconciliation’ issues and U.N.D.R.I.P. agendas and the ongoing plight of First Nations people to have reliable access to safe drinking water on reserve communities. That the City of Airdrie would compromise the safety of our once reliable water supply offers insult and hypocrisy. There is further irony in the City of Airdrie supporting and championing the rights of indigenous people while not showing the same deference to the right of property tax and utility paying citizens of Airdrie to safe, apolitical drinking water.
On a personal note, illness has convinced me to practice studied discernment to decide what goes into my body, not just to mitigate the damage caused by the cancer treatment I have allowed but also to selectively nourish myself to hopefully live longer or recover from life threatening illness. I decide what makes sense. Non-toxic water is vital. You are now putting me in a situation where I will have to protect myself and my family from government policy by spending thousands of dollars to effectively filter the water I am obligated to pay for. I am not the only citizen of Airdrie that feels this way. The surveys and polls you cite to justify the re-introduction of a neurotoxin into our safe water supply are superficial and incomplete. In a recent letter, the Minister of Municipal Affairs has passed the issue back to you with the same talking points you have used but only to ‘encourage’ us to engage directly with our municipal government on this issue, something that is limited by Airdrie’s restricted engagement policy.
The following is the language of the petition being circulated by Safe Water Calgary to protest and prevent the re-introduction of fluoride into our drinking and general use water. Compare this language to your offical narrative. There are currently over 7500 signatures to this petition, a number greater than that used in the limited survey conducted to justify the re-introduction of fluoride.
WHEREAS on September 24, 2024, the U.S. District Court of California made the following significant statement which has compelled dozens of jurisdictions in North America to discontinue water fluoridation:
“In all, there is substantial and scientifically credible evidence establishing that fluoride poses a risk to human health; it is associated with a reduction in the IQ of children and is hazardous at dosages that are far too close to fluoride levels in the drinking water…”;
AND WHEREAS fluoride is easily accessible from various sources such as toothpaste, mouth rinses, supplements, and topical applications including gels, foams, and sealants;
AND WHEREAS the Ontario Ministry of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the American Dental Association have all concluded that fluoridated water should not be given to infants, whether by itself or in infant formula;
AND WHEREAS it would be more appropriate to allow individuals the choice regarding fluoride consumption, as it is readily available from other sources, while it is costly and impractical for consumers to remove fluoride from their drinking water once added;
AND WHEREAS the administration of fluoride is being carried out without the informed consent of the public;
AND WHEREAS the amount of fluoride ingested from public water is uncontrolled because it depends on the amount of water consumed by each individual;
AND WHEREAS the effects of fluoride on individuals are not monitored or followed up after consumption;
AND WHEREAS fluoride is not needed for any bodily function, interferes with normal bodily functions, and bioaccumulates in the bones;
AND WHEREAS 95% of the world does not fluoridate their public water supplies;
AND WHEREAS adding fluoride is an unnecessary expense, since it is not essential for producing drinking water, and only a fraction of water is actually consumed;
AND WHEREAS the operational cost of adding fluoride is approximately $1,000,000 annually, with future upgrades expected to be very expensive;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the undersigned do hereby call upon the Calgary City Council to impose a moratorium on the reintroduction of fluoride into Calgary’s public drinking water until new scientific findings are thoroughly reviewed by experts on both sides of the debate.
Would you collectively have the courage to sign this petition?
Consider that government policy and action in recent years, for all intents and purposes enacted mass, coerced medication and medical marshal law to allow the use of experimental chemicals and gene altering materials – that have been clearly proven to not be safe and effective. Health Canada and Alberta Health Services steadfastly refuse to consider the existing and emerging evidence that questions their policy and actions. I will refer to you yet again the ‘Final Report of the Public Health Emergencies Governance Review Panel’ and the growing evidence of malfeasance being presented by ‘The National Citizen’s Inquiry’. It would be folly to accept A.H.S. and Health Canada’s endorsements on fluoridation. The assertions that fluoridation is safe and effective comes from the same mindset that asserts that ‘Safe Supply’ and ‘MAiD’ promotion to children are good ideas. Doctors once promoted thalidomide and smoking to pregnant women. Governments liberally sprayed children with DDT to combat malaria. Was this ignorance or wilfull blindness? To ignore evidence of potential risks while recognizing the need for “further research”, as you stated below, makes absolutely no sense and shows a deliberate unwillingness to accept or examine existing and proven data. That you “cannot comment on the specifics of the decision” as stated in your letter below hints at obfuscation. A healthy and prosperous community requires responsible government that will mitigate risks to public safety without reverting to status quo narratives provided by unreliable “appropriate authorities”. The capacity for critical thinking should be a prerequisite for public service. Consider applying The Nolan Principles of Public Life or step aside for those that will.
For review, here is your official response to another concerned citizen:
-“The decision to put Fluoride in the while some studies have raised concerns about the potential carcinogenic effects of fluoride, particularly in relation to osteosarcoma, the overall consensus is that there is no strong evidence of a link between fluoride exposure and cancer. Further research is needed to conclusively determine the safety of fluoride exposure.
-The decision to fluoridate Calgary’s drinking water was made by Calgary Council and was informed, in part, by a plebiscite that was included as part of the 2021 General Election where 62% of voters were in favour of reintroducing fluoride in the municipal water supply.
-Fluoride is naturally occurring in our existing water supply at a concentration between 0.1 and 0.4 milligrams per liter (mg/L).
-Health Canada’s Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality continue to recommend optimal fluoride dosing to be 0.7 mg/L and has set a maximum allowable concentration of 1.5 mg/L.
-Alberta Health and Alberta Health Services endorse community water fluoridation as a foundational public health measure to prevent tooth decay and improve oral health.
-Whether additional fluoride is added or not, Airdrie’s water supply continues to meet Health Canada Drinking Water Guidelines (though currently has lower than optimal concentrations of fluoride as recommended by Health Canada).
-The City of Airdrie recognizes the authority of Health Canada and Alberta Health Services with respect to public health matters, such as fluoridation.
-Fluoride will be added to drinking water at Calgary’s Glenmore and Bearpaw Water Treatment Plants after the pre-treatment process.
-In the context of the Master Servicing Agreement (MSA) between the City of Calgary and the City of Airdrie for the provision of potable water services:
*Calgary owns and operates their own water treatment plants. Airdrie does not own any portion of water treatment infrastructure within Calgary.
*Airdrie is not served by a separate Calgary water treatment plant or pipeline. Water that is provided to Airdrie is the same water that is provided to Calgary.
*The MSA places responsibility for water quality with the City of Calgary and its Council.
*Airdrie purchases water from per the terms of the MSA, which specifies that water must meet Health Canada Drinking Water Guidelines.
*Calgary publishes annual drinking water data summaries on their website which test for a number of parameters, including fluoride. This information can be reviewed using the following link: Water quality, water hardness and water data
-Moving forward, we will be continuing to work with the City of Calgary to align our fluoridation messaging with theirs
-In terms of the references being made regarding the recent US Federal Court decision, staff are not in a position to provide comment on the specifics of this decision, or on the variety and validity of the different reports and studies that have been published on both sides of the debate on this issue. The City of Airdrie relies on guidelines, guidance and information provided by appropriate national and provincial health agencies (such as Health Canada and Alberta Health Services).”

Given your official narrative and the conflicting evidence of the potential risks of fluoride medical intervention without fully informed consent, how will our City of Airdrie public servants protect themselves and their families and at what cost? Perhaps ‘The City of Airdrie’ could recommend a whole house water filtration system or even offer subsidies for their installation. The cost of living in Airdrie is becoming prohibitively expensive, unless you are a compromised, captured and entitled bureaucrat, but especially for seniors and pensioners so perhaps the city could use some of the resources slated for social engineering programs and ideological flag display protocol to favor actual health and wellness initiatives. The need and right to safe drinking water does not fall into the realm of ‘conspiracy theory labelling that members of city council are prone to applying.
When I moved to Airdrie in 2011 it was with the relief that it was not Calgary or Edmonton. The City of Airdrie seems to have become more compliant and conciliatory to non-government agencies and corporate agendas and ideologies, and while it is clear that Airdrie is not exclusively so, it would be refreshing to see our city side with critical thinking and ethical, common sense service to the citizens. The issue of fluoridationis not just about safe, life sustaining water but rather one of bodily autonomy, personal sovereignty and, in the larger view, one of national sovereignty which are currently in jeopardy. Moving forward it would benefit all to acknowledge that willful blindness presents the greatest risk to existing and future public health and safety.
Whichever political party or ideology you decide to align yourselves with in the upcoming municipal election, the following quote should give you pause;
