Robert Woodson
Social Studies“What I’m saying to black America, we must stop victimization. We must stop complaining about what white folks have done to us in the past. We must go into ourselves, as Dr. King said, and find indelible ink – our own emancipation proclamation.”
“Why are poor blacks failing in systems run by their own people?”
“We have some perverse incentives for maintaining poverty in America. It is unfortunate, but two out of ten whites with college educations work for government; six out of ten blacks. It is an unfortunate situation where a lot of professionally trained blacks are in the position of being caretakers of their low income counterparts.
Robert Woodson was born on April 8,1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He joined the United States Air Force where he earned his G.E.D. He graduated from Cheyney University with a B.S. and from the University of Pennsylvania with a M.S.W. This is a man that pulled himself up from a difficult upbringing and during difficult times for black Americans. He went on to found the NCNE, a grassroots research and demonstration program emphasizing the importance of empowerment and self-management as effective approaches for ending poverty. He has worked in government advising presidents on issues important to black America. After recent events it might seem that nobody is listening to one of the great voices and minds for solving what is now a BLM platform.
The unfortunate result of the BLM ‘movement’ is that those ‘peacefully’ rioting, looting, burning and beating are perpetuating the stereotypes that cause division in the first place. Recent planned events using anarchy and chaos to enhance the division has negated any gains made in black/white relations. Why can’t an ‘All Lives Matter’ cause not be supported? Could it be that the BLM ‘movement’ is just another stage devised to further destabilize nations, this after years of identity politics and political correctness. To what end? Agenda 21 and Agenda 30 have all the answers. Check it out.
