MASKED ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE – TBC

‘The Walking Dead’ was a popular television series about the horror of a post-apocalyptic world and the struggle for survival against a largely inhumane, unhuman and insane world. Presumably, the crisis was caused by a pandemic of some sort that infected the populations of the world and was spread by close contact between the the infected and the non-infected. Those infected, while physically dead still had the urge to consume. We’re not talking Starbucks, coffee, Kombucha, McDonalds and branded leisurewear here. The infected had the uncontrollable urge for the close contact of rotting teeth and uninfected flesh. The vile and evil ravenous mob were programmed to consume and destroy the pure and good. There were various tribes of good survivors that had different views on what good meant and what constituted food and humanely killed protein. The series lasted ten years. It was wildly popular mostly because of the gore but I suspect that the series told the story of the greatest struggle for survival and power ever told. Could it be said that the story was simply one of good against evil? The mindless mob against the reasonable few? Were the zombies the result of a bio weapon and a plan for total world control by the wealthy few? Was ‘The Walking Dead’ the comic premonition of ‘The Great Reset’? The parallels between the show and the reality we find ourselves in are staggering.

The general scene of the conflict would open with a frightened family of uninfected and defiant, unmasked and uninjected and diverse people being surrounded by a mob of shrieking, masked, wild eyed creatures. They are shouting “Grandma Killer!” and “Anti Masker!” but it comes out a bit like ” Gamma Kidda! ” or ” Addy Masha!”. You can hear the clacking and gnashing of teeth and you can smell their toxic breath but can’t see their rotting stumps of carnivore diet teeth through the mask. The masks are at least effective in covering some of the hideous wreckage caused by the mandatory injections they begged for in the last days. The mobs have developed hypersensitive hearing aided by the elastic loops that hold their masks on. Before they all went brain dead from oxygen deprivation and lost their ability to hear other voices properly, their ears were being forced forward by the mask loops, creating old fashioned ear trumpets. The loss of hearing required the need for shrieking and shouting. Intelligent conversation was gradually replaced by grunts, wheezes and heavy breathing for those tender moments and hysterical keening and skreeking when they were swarming to the sounds and smells of a potential kill and the feeding frenzy.

If the end of the world is to come, let it take the architects of the last conflict as well. Let them not enjoy the fruits of their genocide. Let the monsters come back for their makers. Those were always good scenes from the series. The revenge porn of seeing bad actors and evil people or creatures being swarmed and torn to shreds and consumed by an ignorant mob of their making would be gratifying. After the feeding frenzy, the creatures would exercise the mandated requirement of pulling their masks back up over their noses and mouths after consuming beverages or food, shuffling off to the sounds of gunfire in the distance. Let this be the last view, the last scene before the screen goes black.
