It’s Not About Me….Really.
I would be lying if I said that my sole purpose in life was to serve others and speak for those that had no voice, but they have some really good stories. There is nothing special about me. I managed to make it to fifty eight years and through some good and not so good times. I’m retired now and have some time to do the next right thing.. .or not. So too for Howard although he is a bit older. He lost his ability to speak as a complication of various rounds of chemo, radiation and assorted transplants that left him speechless but his brain is flashing like the cockpit of a crashing plane. He doesn’t want to talk about it but he still has a lot to say. He learned shorthand and fast scribbling real quick.
