As far as I know, Bic’s corporate office is still located in France, you know, where all the riots are…wait a sec… The Democrat funded BLM and ANTIFA riots are happening here in North America too.

The Soros and Democrat funded BLM and ANTIFA movement is peaceful by their own proclamation only. It is actually a violent, prolonged attack on law and order and the constitutions upheld by law and order. It is yet another attempt by the left to oust the current, lawfully and fairly elected president. What’s hitting us right now is a political takeover thinly veiled as a virus and a race war. It is an invasion and insurgency. It’s what has happened before. Protest is the most common form of rebellion.

In the eary 60’s, during the Vietnam war, when Mahayana Buddhists monks were protesting their treatment from the ruling communist junta of the time, so dedicated were they to peaceful protest of their oppression, some chose political self immolation in public as a platform to send the strongest possible message. The first recorded instances, mostly in Asian cultures began around 1534-1690AD. The most famous case of Thich Quang Duc occurred on June 11, 1963 when he sat down at a busy Saigon intersection, poured gasoline on himself and lit himself on fire. He burned to death while reciting prayers.

Self immolation still happens today. It is still considered the ultimate form of protest, political or otherwise. It requires extreme courage and conviction to perform the act. It would be unkind to call it insanity. The practitioners seem quite serene leading up to the act and calm as they burn to death. They are spiritually immune and distant from their burning flesh. They do not scream, as if to say, ‘You, my oppressor cannot defeat my spirit’. ‘You do not have power over my mind and body’. ‘It is mine to speak with and do with as I please.”

You have to admit that these Buddhists are serious about preserving their peaceful culture. By comparison, the current protests, waving many banners, are being executed worldwide by ignorant, opportunistic and corrupt tribes and being financed by Globalist interests. They are criminal elements that rely on assault, murder, arson, looting, vandalism and break laws they feel do not apply to them and claim virtue in so doing. There are no indications that these criminal groups are anywhere near as dedicated or sincere in their protests as the Mahayana Buddhists were. It’s hard to take these BLM riots seriously. As their ‘movement’ continues it becomes clear that they are not part of some race war but rather a conscious war of race baiting anarchy sponsored by Globalist entities. Perhaps these anarchists might regain some momentum and credibility if they adopted the Buddhist method. We could provide the materials that they haven’t yet looted. They seem to be adept at lighting fires.

But alas, they are cowards.

Madam Nhu, the de facto First Lady of South Vietnam from 1955 to 1963. She was the wife of Ngo Dinh Nhu, who was the brother and chief advisor to President Ngo Dinh Diem. As Diem was a lifelong bachelor and because she and her family lived in Independence Palace together with him, she was considered to be the first lady.

As an aside, Bic still makes a mighty fine ballpoint pen. In Canada, Bic engaged NHL legend, Bobby Orr, to shoot a commercial where they demonstrated the pen’s indestructibility by attaching it, point out, to a hockey stick. Bobby Orr shoots! He Scores! The pen still writes!

Also, years ago, part of a then job, required me to restock checkouts with film, batteries and Bic lighters. There was also a selection of fragrant candy and chocolate serviced by another department. To this day I always associate the Bic lighter with the smell of fragrant candy.
