FIREWEED
Motorcycle Vapors . Mutterings And Murmurs . Social StudiesThe annual forest wild fire horror climate emergency catastrophes have become a repeated feature and spectacle of life in the western world and abroad. It’s entirely plausible that they are as unnatural as the rest of the climate hysteria rising ocean world temperature flood hailstorm drought ice fall inland hurricane earthquake tornado volcano tsunami calamities that have also become so wildly, and often gleefully, reported in recent years. Climate change has been a thing for as long as there has been this planet called earth and leafy woody living structures. The great political movements and ideologies that arose from man made climate change has taken on more sinister aspects now that knowledge and growing expertise of man made climate engineering advances have been taking place since the fifties. Do your own research. All things are plausible now. Fire, water, and ice from the ever expanding and retreating polar ice caps, depending on whichever NGO sponsored climate muppet is preaching, is killing people. Global warming will kill the world. Why the NGOs are claiming to want to preserve human life and the environment on one front and wanting to reduce populations on another is the contradiction of the ages. A dangerous paradox.
Forest fires have been around for as long as there have been trees, grass and a spark, by any means or from any source. Before man came on the scene, fire occurred naturally from lightening strikes or some kind of volcanic disturbance…two rocks falling together. Fires came from heaven or hell, from above or below, from God or Mother Earth.
After man was created or crawled out of the muck and learned to make fire, trees and other vegetation became very, very nervous. After man learned that trees could be used to make useful things and learned to make tools that would help harvest the trees, the war against nature took a sinister turn. The trees were sitting ducks. They were defenseless unless they were able to take out a feller while being felled.
As civilizations grew, forestry and ‘Forestry Management’ became governmental bureaucratic tools to industrialize and commodify the tree…any tree. The great deforestation had begun. Along with the industrial mining, agriculture and fishing, the world was being raped and tortured for the enrichment and advancement of the human species.
At some point, environmentalists emerged to save the planet. A noble pursuit indeed and well intended but they too also caused harm to people and the natural world. It too became a political ideology that was concerned with fundraising and money laundering. They operated as Non Government Organizations (NGOs) but collected billions from private and public donors. The heroes of the environment enriched themselves as they hoodwinked the worlds population into thinking that the world was ending and that it was their fault, that sacrifices by the many were necessary to enrich and protect the futures of the elite political class. The tree huggers and spikers were hired environmental terrorists who were responsible for the injuries and deaths of many foresters and loggers. They opted to burn forests over allowing responsible and sustainable logging to harvest them. The tree huggers were to trees what PETA was to animals. They were terrorists of the same caliber as the BLM and ANTIFA lunatics that plague us.
This years forest fire celebration emergency produced death and destruction in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Falsified and amplified reports of First Nations atrocities fueled terrorist arson attacks on Christian churches across Canada. False flags were flying everywhere. Political parties virtue signaled their plastic hearts out for votes. Entire towns, including the medical clinics of whistle blowing doctors burned to the ground as did the forests around them. The diaspora continues.
In 2021, 349,000 hectares of forest burned in British Columbia alone. 349,000 hectares equals roughly half a million acres. In 2019, 1.8 million hectares of Canada burned by forest fires. Imagine that. These conflagrations were positively orgasmic for the climate emergency mob and generated trillions of dollars in climate emergency funding. The climate emergency muppet, Greta Toonberg, regained some sheen to her abused and autistic star. An intelligent and normally sympathetic world tired of the Toonberg brand and recognized the hypocrisy of this political, ideological phenomenon.
In a normal and more or less natural world, fires just happen. Nothing truly dies in a forest fire. Potential energy is released and converted in preparation for rebirth. It a cleansing, a detox, much like the common cold or flu detoxifies the human body. Recently, a common practice of controlled burning was stopped by environmentalists to protect the forest without having understood the science and necessity. Controlled burning helps control accumulations of flammable material, insect infestations, and crowding of healthy trees. Native stewards of the forests used to do this very same thing long before the white European came to ‘manage’ the forests.
Let’s not talk about the poorly managed campfires, carelessly discarded cigarettes, spliffs and roaches, backfiring hot rods, powerboats and motorcycles. Let’s not talk about the errant gunfire or fireworks gone wild or the sparks from rail cars. And for God’s sake don’t talk about Directed Energy Weapons which have been developed and used for some time now. These weapons do not exist because they are top secret. Shhh! You might get burned.

During this summers fires from hell and man, I had occasion to travel to British Columbia. The Queen Charlotte Islands were on my pail list. A motorcycle took me there. I drove it. This motorcycle took me through scenes of heaven and hell. Heaven was the mountains, streams, rivers, the wildlife, and trees and the trees and the trees and the trees. The Hell was the litter, the garbage, the graffiti, the bottles of trucker piss and the smoke, and the smoke, and the smoke, and the trees and forests on fire…and the trees and forests on fire.
I only passed through one scene of hell after an out of control fire jumped Highway 20 en route to Bella Coula. There were still a few spot fires burning but the highway was open nonetheless. The scenery was black charcoal and gray ash like a vignette from ‘The Road’ or No Mans Land during World War One.
Scorched earth.
Crispy critters.
There were other scenes from previous fires but rebirth and recovery was evident in many areas. Deciduous and coniferous trees and bushes were coming back. Grasses and weeds were spreading like….wildfire. On a black and gray canvas, any color stands out. The greens and reds, some white and brown but perhaps the most brilliant contrast came from what I assumed was Purple Loose Strife. There was a lot of this invasive plant that had a tendency to spread and proliferate so as to wipe out native plants. PLS is native to Eurasia. The exact date of it’s introduction to North America is unknown but was recorded as established by 1830. It was thought to have emigrated by ships ballast or internationally brought over as an ornamental plant. So pretty. Lythrum Salicaria is well suited to the regions and climate in North America. It favors marshy wetlands and peat bog environments. They are prolific like rats, pigeons, and feral rabbits. They produce an attractive array of purple, pod-like flowers. Many, many of them.
The thing is, what I thought were infestations of PLS invading the devastated landscape made by fire was actually a native species called, ironically, Fireweed. There are two varieties of Chamerion Angustifolium that occur naturally or planted as ornamental garden perennials in North America. Fireweed is a known healing herb that produces darky pinky flowers and can produce up to 80,000 seeds per plant. This explains why they invade areas like clear cut logging sites, avalanche areas and forest fire wastelands. Their seeds travel on the winds and with birds and animals to areas of hurt and devastation. They aid reforestation. Humans use Fireweed for migraine, the common cold or flu, stomach ulcers, enlarged prostate or wound healing. It’s surprising that all natural healing plants haven’t been torched, arsoned, zapped, poisoned, and propagated or made fully extinct under patent by big pharma.
I learned a few things on this last trip. Nature is a good teacher but I can’t give it full credit. There was a couple waiting for the same ferry From Bella Coola to Port Hardy that I was. It was 6 am in the morning. They were having a breakfast of fruit and grains from the back of their Suburu Outback. They had matching Tilley hats and beards. We started talking about our adventures. They were fairly clean and tidy for having been hiking the backwoods for two weeks. They mentioned the color contrasts of what I thought was Purple Loose Strife and the black and grey forests. The couple looked at each other and then at me with what could have only been looks of pity for the ignorant. They told me everything anyone could possibly know about Fireweed. The call to board was salvation.
I hid in steerage for 5 hours.
