Subject: The Psychology of ‘Pandemic’ Response

Mayor Brown and City of Airdrie Councilors, Directors and Directors,

From the onset of the ‘pandemic’, the official government and mainstream media narrative has focused on keeping everyone ‘safe’, as if the only threat was to everyone’s physical health and safety. The as yet un isolated virus was announced and promoted to be so deadly that world wide measures to prevent infection needed to be imposed. At the announcement of the ‘outbreak’, only two weeks were needed to flatten the curve. Here we are.

  It has long been proven that mental health and physical health are equally important to overall well being. Threats to health or actual illness is proven to affect mental health. Mental health issues can affect physical health. Fear and anxiety can induce physical ailments, real or imagined. Physical and mental health issues create a strain on our health care system. ‘Pandemic’ measures ensure that many physical and mental health issues go undiagnosed and untreated.

  I have provided some relevant links that may help you to understand what real people are experiencing under the ‘pandemic’ measures and agenda. Hopefully you realize that these measures are also taking their toll on the governments, their actors and families. Many are showing visible signs of various psychopathy even during their presentations on mainstream media.

  You only have to view recent presentations from the prime minister and premiers of Australia to see that they are more frantic and emphatic in their delivery of  increasing, seemingly irrational and harmful lockdown measures. The same also applies to many other administrations from Canada, France, New Zealand, Germany and now failed states like Kazakhstan. Authoritarian policies have driven the people of Kazakhstan to overthrow their government. These actions and reactions will no doubt continue as everyday people are pushed to acts of desperation out of collective fear and anger. Many have chosen to take their own lives out of despair. The casualties are not exclusively related to the ‘pandemic’ but provide a tragic count nonetheless.

  There is a wealth of information on how ‘pandemic’ measures affect mental health. Please have a look at some or all of these links and see if any reflect what might be happening in your professional and social lives, and especially your own families. Children are the most vulnerable. They are on the receiving end of psychological and physical trauma from home and at school. To ignore these effects on children and not act is a sure sign of other psychological problems in people that are meant to act in the best interests of all people. Lack of empathy has become chronic in our society and is prominent in already entrenched authoritarian states like China.

  I’m beginning to think that my letters to you are going unread and unnoticed. I do not send them lightly, feeling that there might be consequences. I hope for some response at some point and hopefully none that might cause harm. I know full well that I am not just acting on my own behalf. I know that many people have given up and given in or are too afraid to act or even ask questions. Hopefully this gives you pause and encouragement.
